Spring Break
It's been a little while since I posted last, but I had some time and thought I'd make a few notes. We have been busy around here for Spring Break. Tom and I went shopping the first day and bought some new living room furniture. That was pretty fun. We plan on moving our other furniture to our loft. Currently we just have a big beanbag as furniture. We also got some bedroom furniture for Tori. She's never really had any nice furniture so that will be nice for her. We also bought carpet so we've spent quite a bit of our spring break moving all the furniture out of the bedrooms, pulling up old carpet, picking out staples and then hauling all the furniture back. All the bedrooms are finished now and look great with the new carpet. The loft should be finished at the beginning of next week and then the furniture will come in another week after that. All these changes. I don't love the smell of the new carpet, but it sure looks good. Stella also had her puppies. She had 5 adorable little puppies. Unfortunately, one of them died. That's always sad. The remaining 4 look chubby, pink and healthy. In fact, they just are opening their eyes. Yesterday I took Tori to Baby Animal Day at the American West Heritage Farm. We enjoyed that and then we went to see the new Hannah Montana movie. We really enjoyed it. I heard on the news that Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray were seen at a theater in South Jordan. Cool. Too bad it wasn't Logan. I also went to a cooking class at Love to Cook Kitchen Kneads on Thursday to learn how to make Naples pizza, Foccacia Bread and some pasta from the owner of Firehouse Pizza, Greg Chambers. We love the food there and Tori went with me to the class. It will be fun to try out some of the things we learned. I also managed to make 41 pints of strawberry jam this week. Today I also finished the book 4 in the Fablehaven series, Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary. I loved it!! I'm already looking forward to the 5th book. It's been a busy spring break, but we certainly got a lot done. I look forward to summer when I'll have lots more time to get things done.

Sounds like a productive spring break to me!
I agree, the smell of new carpet can be overwhelming after a while, but it sure beats the smell of old carpet ;)
